Introduction

Rational Rose 2001 is the leading Unified Modeling Language (UML) tool.

With roseJADElink you can model your system using Rational Rose and export that model directly to JADE. You can also add JADE-specific information to a non-JADE model.

An existing JADE system can also be imported into Rational Rose.

In this tutorial you will use Rational Rose to create a model for a library system in JADE.
You will export the model to JADE, and then import it back into Rational Rose.

Software Requirements

Install or upgrade to JADE version 5.2.

If your JADE software license includes the roseJADElink option and if Rational Rose 2001 is installed on your PC, the roseJADElink add-in is automatically installed.
