Issue Reporting
JADE Master supports its software world-wide using the same technology
that delivers the solutions to yourselves and your clients — the
JADE Smart Thin Client.
We have a team of dedicated personnel available worldwide for 24x7
software support.
Faults and issues are reported to the Jade Master Development Center
using Jade Software Corporation's company wide PARSYS fault reporting
system. All JADE Master Terminal clients have automatic access to
this system to record faults, queries or new feature suggestions
for possible inclusion in the product, and for downloading system
patches from the on-line repository of bug fixes and fault resolutions.
The system is searchable using keywords over JMT and is also a
good resource for hints and resolutions to the problems that may
be encountered. All issues can be reviewed, and tracked with a dialogue
between client and Development Plant being visible at all times.
Change Control
Jade Software Corporation uses a collaborative computer system
to manage software changes. Change is inevitable and in a product
situation like JMT our users have a say in how that change affects
their business. The Jade Contract and Change Management System (CCMS)
is the mechanism that is used to manage and control these inevitable
changes.
To manage change and reduce risk in the development of large enterprise
scale Jade solutions, Jade utilizes a software application called
CCMS. CCMS captures all information associated with the product
in one place, and is specifically designed to manage change in a
product. CCMS is built in JADE, deployed to all users worldwide
via a JADE Smart Thin Client, has its own email communications system
and allows project sponsors, managers, and stakeholders to monitor
developments via the Internet.
CCMS also allows for the sharing of requests across clients in
the JADE Master Terminal product group.

Port Nelson have recently upgraded their existing Teklogix narrow band RDT
equipment with state-of-the-art heavily ruggedized laptops running the Jade
Smart Thin Client Jade Master Terminal application using Telecom's CDMA
cellphone cellular network for communications to and from the devices.
Geoff Shepard from Port Nelson states they are extremely impressed with the
minimal bandwidth being used by the JMT application's smart forms which are
all touch-screen high definition colour units mounted in the terminal's
fork lift machinery, with bandwidth consumption well under expectations
making this a very cost-effective option to maintaining your own 802.11 or
narrow band radio data network. In addition, because the system is using
cellular encrypted telephone technology the signals are completely
unaffected by steel structures, the radio network is no longer Port Nelson's
responsibility.
Feedback from the machinery drivers' is overwhelmingly positive, with
workshops held at the port between staff and JMT developers to determine the
optimum screen layouts that fitted how they actually do their job.
