Jade Business Continuity Plan

Log4Shell (log4j) Security Update. If you require more information about this please email us or contact our 24x7 Central Systems Service Desk as usual.

Our BCP Plan

Our BCP plan has been in action since the beginning of 2020 and will continue to be in operation until the impact of COVID-19 dissipates. Our plan, people, and systems are flexible, enabling our geographically-spread workforce to work from home or office, safely and as required, in accordance with official guidelines and regulations, with no disruption to our client systems or services. Either way, we are fully open for business and, as normal, all systems are go.

Message from Charlotte Walshe, CEO, Jade Software:

At Jade, one of our core values is “people first” and never has this been truer than in our response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The safety and security of our customers and our people is paramount.

We are an “Essential Business”, trusted and relied on to look after the critical systems of our customers, and it’s something we take very seriously. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of our normal business process, we regularly ensure we have an up to date Business Continuity Plan (BCP), which we test and run drills on for when it really matters. This planning and regular testing is what has set us up to continue to provide you with the certainty you need as we work through this pandemic response.

In February 2020, we deployed a BCP Management team and initiated a COVID-19-specific tiered response plan which we had developed earlier this year. This meets as frequently as required to ensure we are making the best decisions we can with the latest information. To inform our decisions, we have been referring to the various government agencies’ advice.

As Jade's CEO, my primary focus remains ensuring our people have the flexibility, information, and support they need so they can keep themselves and their families safe, and that we keep our customers’ systems and projects running smoothly to enable business continuity that sees us all through this event.

Through the course of the pandemic, I couldn't have been prouder of our people for the way we collectively defined what our new hybrid way of working would look like. There were with several iterations of policy and procedure. What resulted was not just the high levels of service and business continuity that we continually deliver for our clients, but also an HRNZ Award for innovation. It was incredible to see what people are capable of with a little empowerment.

At Jade, we’re well accustomed to working virtually together, we have strong agile processes and systems to allow us to manage complex projects remotely, and these are now playing a key role in our BCP. Reflecting on how we responded over the last 18 months, I am confident we will continue to successfully manage ourselves, and your systems, through whatever uncertain times we will face.

As you’d expect our BCP plans, of which Pandemic is a subset, are detailed. If you’d like to know more about our preparedness and approach, from our systems to our people, feel free to reach out to our Client Teams to provide you with more detail.
