CIO NZ looks at our culture of innovation
A new article from CIO New Zealand takes a look at the Jade approach to innovation. As our Chief Innovation Officer, John Ascroft, and Director of Marketing, Caroline Francis, explain, there are a lot of things to get right - from hiring the right people to having the right physical environment. But nothing is as important as inspiring a collaborative and optimistic culture.
"For me innovation is about creating an environment where the company can innovate. This is particularly so in IT where your only real assets are your people."
- Jade CIO, John Ascroft
At Jade, an important part of that culture is our Thinkubator programme, which over the past two years we've refined into a "proven framework for innovation". We've even taken the Thinkubator out to customers who are keen to encourage their own teams to get more innovative.
"Creating and enabling that culture of innovation has been so successful for us, that when we spoke to clients about it they asked, 'Can you run that for us?'."
- Director of Marketing, Caroline Francis.
It's well-known that technological change is only speeding up, putting more importance on flexibility and adaptability. As CIO NZ's article discovers, we see strategic value in innovation, and work hard to inspire new ideas for ourselves and our customers.
