Introducing our new director, Paddy Boyle
Yesterday we announced that Paddy Boyle is joining our Board as an independent director. He’s a great fit with our ambition to sell more market-leading innovations around the world, with governance experience in high-growth businesses, the technology sector, and exporters.
Paddy chairs leading marine electronics company, Electronic Navigation Ltd, is a director of Innova Products Ltd (which you may remember as Click Clack), and is a member of Fonterra’s Milk Price Panel. In the past he’s held directorships with the advisory board of Ice Angels (New Zealand’s largest group of angel investors), 3D visualization company Nextspace, and Plant and Food Research (a Crown Research institute).
Outside of the boardroom he’s a sea-swimmer, golfer, and motorbike enthusiast: He’s even ridden across the USA.
David Lindsay, our Managing Director, is looking forward to working with Paddy. “With Paddy's experience in supporting innovation and the international development of high- growth companies, including technology success stories like Jade, he will contribute greatly to our future, here in New Zealand and overseas.”
Chairman of the Jade board, the Hon. Ruth Richardson, is pleased to add new business drive to the board: “With our focus on growing the company and continuing to incubate valuable lines of new business, Paddy’s experience with growth businesses with international exposure will be invaluable. With the growth the company is experiencing, it is the perfect time to add a new independent board member with Paddy’s governance capability.”
Jade’s track record of continuous innovation appeals to Paddy, who has been impressed by Jade’s design-led, high-performance culture. “I am most inspired by fresh views and creative perceptions that change how we see things – particularly the combination of new technology and talented business people.”
