Master Terminal goes live at Poti Sea Port
Jade Software's TOS Master Terminal has successfully gone live at APM Terminals’ operated port at Poti, the largest port in the Republic of Georgia, replacing a paper-based manual system.
Captain Kaustubh Dalvi, Director of Business Development for Master Terminal says that Poti Sea Port is developing a highly competitive operation at the gateway between Europe and Asia. “We are pleased to help APM Terminals with the next stage of their development.
“With Master Terminal, Poti Sea Port will be able to update marine operations and harbour resource records in real time, as well as offer value added services to the visiting ships. That’s a significant improvement, and will help make the port more competitive against rival Lithuanian and Russian ports in servicing the Central Asia and Caucasus region,” says Captain Dalvi.
The port services international trade into Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan and handles liquid and dry bulk, ferries as well as containers. It has 15 berths, with total berth length of 2900 meters and more than 20 quay cranes. The total number of ship calls is approximately 2,189 per year with an aggregate growth of 11.9% per annum.
