We’re launching new services for the energy industry
A new set of Jade services are designed to help energy companies use Registry data more efficiently and securely.
The Electricity and Gas Registries collect data from over 2.6 million installation control points (ICPs) all over New Zealand. Whenever electricity or gas changes hands - from a generator to a supplier, or from that supplier to a customer - you’ll find an ICP. And wherever there’s an ICP, there’s data feeding into a Jade Registry.
Each market (electricity and gas) has its own Registry. Energy companies use the Registry to help customers easily switch suppliers. Regulators use the Registry to make sure that everyone’s playing by the rules. And the whole of New Zealand needs them to keep two of the most open energy markets in the world working efficiently.
Because these Registries are so important, we’ve launched a new range of services to help organisations like generators, retailers, and regulators make the most of them.
Working with the Registry can be complex, so there’s training for both everyday users and their bosses. With so much data available, we’re helping businesses work out what’s most useful to report on, and how to do it. Some jobs, like bringing new customers on board, rely on systems like customer management software as well as a Registry, so we’re on hand to help with integration. We can build one-off screens or interfaces for people who do specialised tasks, and help companies improve the security of their systems and data.
As the people who built the Registries, we know them inside-out. Companies keen to see how we can help them can start with our white paper, How the Registry can help you run a faster, better business, or a full description of Registry services.
